Starwood--->AA" transfer still feasible?">"ClickRewards--->Starwood--->AA" transfer still feasible?
However, I noticed that the Starwood website warns that "Starpoints must be earned within the Starwood Preferred Guest Program" to be eligible for transfer. Is this a rule that's enforced? Did anyone have any problems doing this kind of a transfer?
Thanks! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
Clickreward to Starwood...1:1
Starwood to Airlines...1:1
Keep in mind that there are "minimum" transfer amounts from Starwood to the airlines; I know if you are "gold" the minimum is 1,500. I'm not sure what the minimum is if you are a regular member.

I was thrown by that, as well, initially...thankfully, the matter was ultimately clarified -- earning & transferring from Starwood partners is considered to be earning "in the SPG program", officially (makes sense...though it's understandable why we would, by default, tend to interpret "earned within the Starwood Preferred Guest Program" to mean "earned at Starwood properties").
In theory, ClickMiles transferred directly to AA will count as a partner for the 20/20k (I moved 250 miles in a separate transaction about a month back) and this Starpoints transfer will also count as a partner.
IIRC, Staying at a Starwood property and earning the AA miles (directly) that way is also supposed to be a separate partner from SPG point transfers. Additionally, each hotel brand is supposed to count as a separate partner too.

Is there a minimum amount of miles you can transfer? I am looking for another partner for AA but am new at clickrewards so I don't have alot of clickrewards yet.
Yes...the minimum re: transfer from ClickRewards to Starwood is 250 ClickMiles...the minimum re: transfer from Starwood to FF acct is a function of your Starwood Preferred Guest status (I think it goes like this: 2000 Starpoint minimum if non-elite, 1500 Starpoint minimum if Gold, & no minimum if Platinum [if anyone reading this knows any of this to be incorrect, please correct/clarify (TIA)]).
